Welcome to my website! It's brand new and still under development, but far enough along to be useful. Please excuse the dust of our layout miscues, navigation links to nowhere, and other curiousities while we rush it along. Currently, you can see the bulk of my artwork and find ways to contact me for more information or to make purchases. Soon we'll be adding other features, such as an email newsletter, and we'll look into adding PayPal functionality to provide a payment mechanism beyond checks and credit cards. My blog will be evolving and will be central to the spirit of the site. This will feature new images and the stories behind them, updates on my show schedule, reprints of articles from my syndicated food columns, some of my favorite seasonal recipes, and whatever else seems interesting at the moment. It'll be fun and uplifitng and not just a tool for selling art. I plan to make frequent postings, so I hope you will check it out from time to time.
Of course, we, and that would be my husband/business partner Steve and I, are indeed interested in generating sales with the site, so a few words about the products are in order. All of the images posted began as paintings executed with the finest watercolor pigments on 300 lb. cold press rag watercolor paper. Some of the originals are still available for purchase, and all are available as high quality limited edition prints produced using archival inks on heavy rag fine art paper especially prepared for the purpose. The papers we use are textured to resemble the watercolor paper of an original. We use professional-level inkjet printers and inksets designed specifically for the production of fine art prints with excellent color gamut and stability. Our notecards are printed with lightfast, smudge-resistant inks on white 60 lb cover stock. Our photography, proofing, printing, packaging, and shipping is all done by our own company, Stoneyburn Gallery, so we have full control of, and stand behind, the quality of our products.
I hope you enjoy the website and my blog. Please feel free to contact me with comments, questions or suggestions.
All the best,
Jan
